When we first sit down together part of our conversation focuses on the 5 essential elements of a fitness training program. Which includes:
Resistance Training: moving against an opposing force. This might include pushing, pulling, ect…commonly referred to as weight lifting. A few of the benefits to you are improved strength and fights osteoporosis.
Cardio Training: “Any physical activity that places stress on the cardioresparatory system” (NASM, 2004). This could include running, walking, elliptical machine, biking…A few benefits to you are a healthier heart and the ability to sustain activity for longer periods of time.
Nutrition: in this case we are referring to the food that you put into your body. A few benefits to improved nutrition are increased energy and a reduction of stress on the body.
Supplementation: a product that provides the body with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, ect…While you exercise essential vitamins, minerals, nutrients, ect…are depleted. Supplements replace these items needed for everday activity. This would include things like a multivitamin or a protein shake. The benefit to you is that these items can reduce soreness, stiffness and fatigue from your daily activity. They also help your recover quicker and grow faster.
Training Program: This is a fitness training program that considers each of the above elements. The best training program for you will be one that manipulates these elements in a way that your body will respond best. This leads you to FAST, SUSTAINABLE RESULTS!!!
